As those of us in the high-end leather products and shoemaking industry know, oil-tanned leathers such as waxed leather and crazy horse leather are particularly hard to bond firmly due to their high oil and wax content. That's why oil leather surface Primer L608F was engineered – a dedicated surface primer that tackles exactly these high‑oil substrates. After treatment, bonding becomes easy and firm, with a strong hold right away. This primer delivers superior oil tolerance and deep substrate wetting. It neutralizes the leather's inherent oils and waxes, and also eliminate the plasticizing and barrier effects caused by surface coatings. 1. Before use, add 5–10% hardener (F306) and mix thoroughly.
2. After sanding and cleaning the surface of the oiled leather to be treated, apply this primer evenly using a brush.
3. Drying time: Dry in an oven at 55±5°C for 3–5 minutes before applying adhesive.
4. To ensure optimal performance, the mixed primer (with hardener added) should be used within 4 hours.
5. Apply the adhesive evenly and completely, avoiding insufficient coverage or excessive buildup.
