The bonding challenge of TPR (thermoplastic rubber) and TR materials has always been a pain point in manufacturing. These materials inherently have low surface energy and a dense, non-porous structure, making it difficult for adhesives to form effective bonds. To address this core challenge, we have developed TPR Primer T915, a specialized surface treatment product designed to improve adhesion on difficult-to-bond substrates.

In terms of formulation, T915 features a low-odor design, providing a comfortable application experience without harsh smells, while also improving the workshop environment-perfectly aligning with production needs. It offers excellent penetration and wetting properties, allowing it to quickly penetrate the substrate surface and complete deep activation, which is a critical step for achieving subsequent high-strength bonding. The treated surface provides a solid foundation for initial tack, delivering consistent and reliable results, especially for notoriously difficult substrates like TPR and TR outsoles. At the same time, T915 offers good yellowing resistance. When used on light-colored substrates or products with high appearance requirements, it effectively preserves the original color of the material and resists discoloration over the long term.

TPR Primer T915 requires no complex mixing-it is ready to use straight from the container on production lines, greatly simplifying the process and improving production efficiency. It is primarily suitable for TPR and TR outsoles, molded parts, and various synthetic rubber compounds. Substrates pretreated with this primer can be perfectly bonded with PU adhesives, solvent-based adhesives, or other compatible adhesives, significantly enhancing bond strength and fundamentally eliminating the risk of bond failure.

Today, T915 is widely used in footwear assembly, sole bonding, and various industrial rubber component bonding applications. It is easy to apply, streamlines processes, and improves the working environment-making it a mature and reliable surface pretreatment solution. 1. After cleaning the shoe material surface, evenly apply this primer using a brush or cloth.
2. Drying time: Dry in an oven at 55±5°C for 2–4 minutes before applying the adhesive.
3. Apply the adhesive evenly and completely, avoiding insufficient coverage or excessive buildup.
